About me

At a young age I discovered the healing power of art as a safe way of accessing confusing feelings that may be difficult or too painful to express verbally. I later on discovered EMDR and have found it to be an effective tool for self-empowerment and resolution to break free of past trauma.

When I'm out of the office I'm often playing in the outdoors, surfing, painting and practicing yoga.

Formal Education and Training

I hold a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy from Saint Mary of the Woods College.  Additionally I have completed trainings on Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), domestic violence and sexual assault and attachment disorders.

I also utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a brain-based therapy primarily used to treat trauma symptoms, but which can be used for a variety of issues clients face.

I am a bilingual clinician (English & Spanish) and have worked extensively with Latinos.
